No, after the Gocycle has been setup in the app, you do not need to connect your phone every time for the Gocycle to operate.
If you choose to use the Live Dash then you will need to have your phone connected via Bluetooth.
The GocycleConnect App is an accessory provided free of charge to all Gocycle owners. It is not essential for the product to be ridden or operated and does not form part of the core Gocycle specification. However, the GocycleConnect App is required for initial setup and configuration of the product either directly by the authorised owner or by an authorised Gocycle dealer.
If you do not wish to use the free app, we recommend that you purchase your Gocycle from an authorised Gocycle dealer who can setup and configure it to your requirements.
We do however strongly recommend that all Gocycle owners use the App for registration of warranty, service, and ownership notifications. Should we need to contact you about an important service notification, the email address that you registered with to use the GocycleConnect App will be used to contact you. There is also an opt-in option for receiving updates from Gocycle such as new product information.
