Here are some tips if you are putting your Gocycle into storage for a long period of time.
-
If your Gocycle will be in storage for long periods of time, we recommend that the battery is at least at 50% capacity, then put into sleep mode (turning off). This should be regularly checked (1-2 months) and topped up if needed.
-
Never Store the Gocycle with the battery with a full charge.
-
Check the battery level once every 4-6 weeks and charge back up to 50% if required, then put back into sleep mode. If you find your Gocycle does not take charge, please use the motor in order to drain some power, then try the charging process again.
-
Store the battery in an environment with ambient temperatures between 5°C and 20°C (41°F and 68°F) and a humidity of 45% to 85% RH.
-
Storing the lithium battery at high temperatures such as 100 deg F (40 deg C) will generally result in a degradation of capacity. Degradation will increase with time and temperature.
