Description
From time to time, the Gocycle crank arms may require tightening. Riding with loose crank arms will cause premature wear of the crank arms and/or the bottom bracket spindle square taper. In extreme cases, the square interface may become rounded causing the crank arm to rotate freely on the bottom bracket—resulting in a loss of drive.
1. Check left side crank bolt torque (35-40Nm).
2. Check right side crank bolt torque (35-40 Nm).
Action Required
It is recommended that the crank arm bolt torque is checked after your first ride to account for any bedding-in. Crank arm bolt torque should then be checked every 500 miles.
Can I Continue to Ride my Gocycle?
Yes. By conducting the checks and any required adjustments outlined above, your safety will not be compromised.
