How long will the tyres last?
Tyre life will vary depending on usage and riding style. Typically, a high-performance tire, such as the Gocycle Performance Tyre, will not last as long as a lower performance tyre. The trade-off is weight, puncture resistance, grip in wet weather, and easy rolling.
When the central grooves in the tyre have worn down, you should replace the tyre as it may be unsafe to use.

Can I use alternative tyres?
We recommend that you use Gocycle approved tyres which can be ordered on the Gocycle web store. The size of tires is BMX-sized tyre (406x44-54) from 1.75" to 2.1".
Tires can vary in width from different manufacturers. The quality and compatibility can also vary significantly. We strongly urge you to choose tyres as recommended from the Gocycle web store. Your warranty may be affected if not using approved tyres (see below) and could substantially reduce the life of components on the Gocycle. A Gocycle not running approved tyres will require extra attention for fatigue related component damage.
The max pressure for the G4, G4i and G4i+ Gocycle PitstopWheel® rim is 40psi. For all previous models of Gocycle the max pressure for the PitstopWheel® rim is 60psi (4.1 bar). Never exceed that pressure.
The Performance and All Weather tyre types offered by Gocycle are compatible with all models of Gocycle, the G4 tyre is only compatible with the G4 range Gocycles.
