If you are experiencing difficulties connecting to your Gocycle using the GocycleConnect app or are unable to update the firmware on your device we would advise taking the following steps to resolve the issue.
- Reset the GocycleConnect App
- Check the latest version of the app is installed
- Check device and Bluetooth Pairing
- Boost Button Power Up
- Clear the Cache and Data and reinstall the app
- Device Settings for Connecting to G4 Gocycles
Reset the GocycleConnect App
If you are having any connection issues with the Gocycle app, close and open the GocycleConnect app to reset the connection and try again.
Check the latest version of the app is installed
Go to Google Play or Apple App store.
Search GocycleConnect and install any updates.
Check device and Bluetooth Pairing
Check that the Gocycle is paired to your device and that there are no other devices connected to the Gocycle. If the Gocycle is connected to another device then this can prevent the Gocycle from being seen in your Bluetooth settings.
Boost Button Power Up
This procedure will enable a forced firmware update to ensure that latest firmware is installed.

Clear the Cache and Data and reinstall the app
If you're still unable to connect or having issues, you will need to completely clear your user data or reinstall the app. After completing the process below you will need to register the app again. Make sure you use the same email address as previously when re-registering the app:
Force close the GocycleConnect app then;
Enter the device Settings > In search bar > search 'Gocycle' > Storage > 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Data'
Enter the iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Scroll down to find 'Gocycle' > Press 'Delete App'>
Go to the app store>search GocycleConnect>download app
Device Settings for Connecting to G4 Gocycles
If you are experiencing difficulties when connecting to your Gocycle G4, G4i or G4i+ you should try the steps below.
When connecting to your Gocycle location services must be switched on. If not switched on, your device may fail to find and pair to your Gocycle.
To improve the reliability and ensure a better and quicker connection you can also try the below -
- For Android devices, switch on Bluetooth Scanning, available in your location settings.
- For Apple devices, ensure your device is in Discovery Mode
