Tech Bulletin

Stem Latch

1.1. Fold the handlebars |

1.2. Remove nut using a 4mm Hex and 8mm wrench |

1.3. Remove bolt, move latch out of the way |

1.4. Use grease or silicone spray or oil to lubricate the moving parts of the red latch lock on both sides |
|
1.5. Press the catch several times to check it is moving freely The red latch lock should move freely with minimum force and it should spring back fast and sharply to the fully locked position The red latch lock should not stick or squeak or freeze and it should not have a slow, partially closed or delayed action |

1.6. Grease the fold latch pivot pin |

1.7. Fit the fold latch pivot pin using a 4mm Hex and 8mm wrench.
Tighten to 4-6Nm

1.8. Check the latch pin is present and does not protrude from the surface of the latch. If either pin is loose or missing please contact tech support using our contact form |

1.9. Check adjustment of latch = 25-35mm If adjustment is required, check the relevant section of your owners manual.

1.10. Close the latch |

1.11. Push hard on the latch in the direction shown to confirm that the latch is locked. Check latches are locked. Latch should not open when pushed hard in direction shown. |

1.12. With the latch closed press the red latch lock The black latch should not open and the red latch lock should remain engaged and “hooked/locked” into the handlebar when released |

1.13. If the latch releases when the red catch lock is pressed do not ride the Gocycle please contact tech support using our contact form |
Frame latch

2.1. Fold the frame Attach the handlebar hook to secure the bike in the folded position |

2.2. Use grease or silicone spray or oil to lubricate the moving parts of the red latch lock on both sides

2.3. With the latch open, press the red latch lock several times to check it is moving freely. The red latch lock should move freely with minimum force and it should spring back fast and sharply to the fully locked position The red latch lock should not stick or squeak or freeze and it should not have a slow, partially closed or delayed action |

2.4. Check adjustment of latch = 45-55mm If adjustment required, check the relevant section of your owners manual. |

2.5. Close the latch |

2.6. Push hard on the latch in the direction shown to confirm that the latch is locked. Check latches are locked. Latch should not open when pushed hard in direction shown. |

2.7. Press the red latch lock multiple times. The black latch should not open and the red latch lock should remain engaged and “hooked/locked” into the frame when released |

2.8. If the black latch opens when pressing and releasing the red latch lock, do not ride the Gocycle, please contact Gocycle Tech Support using our contact form for assistance. |
