City+ mode operates in the same manner as City Mode, but the rider does not have to pedal as hard to start the motor assistance. Also the rider must pedal harder to get full assistance. Use this mode if you wish to have motor support with minimal effort, but also have reasonable range.
City+ mode utilises your Gocycle’s torque sensor, which detects the pedal input from the rider. The motor assistance level is controlled by rider pedal input:
Harder pedalling = higher motor assistance
Softer pedalling = less motor assistance
To select City+ Mode:
The mode setting can be seen in the Gocycle Connect App:
In City+ mode, the motor will start to assist when the rider pedals 0W (50W for G4 models) or higher. In fact, any pressure on the pedals will start the motor. The motor will give full assist when the rider pedals 400W or higher.
In this mode, the motor will start automatically when a rider pedals, and will continue to operate until the maximum speed is reached.
Above the maximum speed for motor assistance, the motor will stop. When the pedals cease to rotate or with reduced pedal input, the motor will also stop.
You can get maximum motor assistance when moving by:
Gocycles G2, GS and GX: press and hold the red button by the left hand grip
Gocycles G3, G3 Carbon and GXi: rotate and hold the left twist switch “wrist down”
