While we would like to be able to continue to support all Gocycle models, the electric bike market and technology is continually evolving, changing, and developing every year. As we develop new models, like all manufacturers, older models become End of Line (EOL) - meaning we stop producing them. As a general rule, we aim to support EOL models with spare parts for up to 7 years from the last date of manufacture. Supporting models beyond 7 years can be very challenging. This can be due to many reasons, but mostly relates to minimum order quantities (MOQs), pricing, and lead times for us to continue to order parts that may be considered old technology.
We make careful decisions on what makes economical sense for our customers; however, spare parts replacement prices for spare parts which are specialist can become exceedingly expensive, to the point that it is smarter to recycle or trade in the existing EOL model for a newer up-to-date Gocycle model. Of course, regular annual and preventative maintenance over the life of any Gocycle is the key factor in the product lasting beyond the time that we can support repairs.
If you own a Gocycle that is more than 7 years old from the last date the model was produced, and wish to upgrade to a new G4 model, we can offer you a fair trade-in recycling deal for original owners. Please note that the value of your Gocycle will vary depending on if you are the original owner, the condition of the Gocycle, the maintenance history and the model you wish to upgrade to. Upgrade offers are only available direct from Gocycle, however, your local dealer may offer their own upgrade program.
Please contact us for details using the support button, and thank you for being a dedicated Gocycle owner. We'd like to get you onto the latest Gocycle tech if possible, which can be found on the Gocycle webstore https://gocycle.com/eu/webstore/.
