All Gocycles will default to Power Save Mode when the battery has reached a low level (10% battery or less). During Power Save Mode the battery level can fluctuate between 10% and 30% as the motor is used until no more assistance is provided.
Power Save Mode will limit the motor to 30% of maximum power output.
It is important to charge the Gocycle within 24 hours of reaching power save mode.
Depending on your Gocycle model, you will be able to activate the motor as described below:
Gocycle G3, GXi and G4i
Power Save Mode is indicated on the handlebar dash display by the far left LED blinking continuously. In the event that you enter Power Save mode, the motor will operate only when the left twist switch is rotated “wrist down” and the pedals are turning. If the pedals cease to turn, or the left twist switch is released, the motor will stop.
If you continue to ride in Power Save mode, the battery charge level will continue to decrease. When there are no battery charge level LEDs displayed on the left side of the display, the motor will cease to operate. Electronic gear shifting will continue to operate during Power Save Mode.
Gocycle GX and G4
Power Save Mode is indicated by one LED on the dashboard display. In the event that you enter Power Save mode, the motor will operate only when red button is pressed and the pedals are turning. If the pedals cease to turn, or the red button is released, the motor will stop.
If you continue to ride in Power Save mode, the battery charge level will continue to decrease until the motor will not operate.
Gocycle GS
The Gocycle GS has no handlebar display to indicate the battery charge level.
Gocycle G2
Power Save Mode is indicated on the handlebar dash display by the far left LED blinking continuously. In the event that you enter Power Save mode, the motor will operate only when the left red button is pressed and the pedals are turning. If the pedals cease to turn, or the red button is released, the motor will stop.
If you continue to ride in Power Save mode, the battery charge level will continue to decrease. When there are no battery charge level LEDs displayed on the left side of the display, the motor will cease to operate. Electronic gear shifting will continue to operate during Power Save Mode.
